Dr. Romano was born and raised near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She attended veterinary school at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Following veterinary school, Dr. Romano moved to Los Angeles and completed a rotating internship in medicine and surgery at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital. Afterwards, she practiced in the Los Angeles area before moving back to Knoxville in 2018.

Dr. Romano’s interests include emergency medicine, reptile and aquatic medicine, and the importance and protection of the human-animal bond. She lives at home with her husband, Eric, their one dog, three cats, two snakes, and a leopard tortoise. In her spare time, Dr. Romano enjoys music, travel, and history, and spending time with her family.
