Dr. Katherine Baine, a board-certified avian practitioner, leads our avian and exotics service. “During veterinary school one of our professors encouraged us to decipher what in veterinary medicine sparked passion, and for me the answer was easy, working with exotic animal patients, she says. Dr. Baine shows her clients that every day, with a zeal for educating bird owners and for best care of her patients.

The emergency services at Animal Emergency and Specialty Center of Knoxville and Chattanooga have been trained to manage urgent care situations with birds. If you have a bird emergency, do not hesitate to come in any time, day or night.
