Sharon Stone, DVM

Emergency Clinician

Sharon always has been curious about all creatures great and small.  As a child, she spent countless hours watching nature/national geographic shows and reading books on animals.  But it wasn’t until she was in college that she decided that becoming a veterinarian was her passion.

Sharon obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008.  She then got accepted into a one-year internship at a private practice and emergency hospital in Tucson, Arizona.  Not only did Sharon gain experience in exotics, wildlife, and zoo medicine during her internship, she also fell in love with emergency and critical care.

In 2010, Sharon moved to Las Vegas with her husband.  In Las Vegas, Sharon worked at a very high-volume general practice that saw a large amount of critical cases and emergencies.  There, she gained experience in surgery, endoscopy, and ultrasound. However, she always knew she wanted to go back to Tennessee, so she moved back to Knoxville, where she joined the staff at Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of Knoxville.

Sharon and her husband now have two daughters.  Her household also includes one cat,Havoc, two Huskies, Maya and Malek, and a corgi, Mace.  She is a proud geek and loves all things Star Wars, sci-fi, and comics.  Outside of work, Sharon enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, and making crafts.
